Ahmed bin Muhammad al-Dabib is a retired university professor, editor-in-chief of the Saudi Al-Arab magazine and formerly head of the King Saud University in Riyadh and professor in the Arabic Department there. He obtained his BA in Arabic Language from the Arts Faculty of Cairo University in 1960, and his doctorate from the Semitics Department at Leeds University in 1966.
