Professor at the University Lumière Lyons 2, France, Hassan Hamze is also the director of the Library for Lexicography, Terminology, Dictionary Studies and Arabic Translation. He has overseen a number of research teams, especially in the context of the joint French-Tunisian project (CMCU) on Arabic scientific terminology in classical sources. He has translated and published a number of books, including "The Complete Systematized Arabic" in 2007, "Language Wars and Linguistic Politics" in 2009, "Example and Evidence in the Works of the Arab Grammarians and Lexicographers" in 2010, and "Unity and Diversity in Arab Grammatical Theory in 2012. Hamze holds a state doctorate from the Linguistics department at Lyon 2, a third-cycle doctorate from the Department of Arabic Studies at the University of Aix-en-Provence, and a postgraduate diploma from the Lebanese University.
