Formerly a professor at Mohamed I University in Morocco and Oman, and the United Arab Emirates University, Rachid Ahmed Belahbib is currently a professor at Qatar University. His books include a translation of Fabio Caon's Pleasure in Language Learning: a methodological challenge (2012), "The Archipelago: Linguistic Texts in Translation" (2009), and "From the tradition of al-Alam al-Shantamri: the Question of the Wasp and the Question of Redundancy" (2008).
